Crimp Contacts
Crimp contacts are one of the key component parts of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Contacts are electrical components which are made from a conductive material. When to contacts come together they can pass an electrical current between them.Contacts are often used to complete the circuit on a PCB by conducting electrical current from the connector to the PCB. The connector will often be contained within a PCB connector housing, especially where multiple connectors are used.How are crimp contacts used?Crimp contacts are used to create circuits in general PCB applications. They are commonly used to make PCB sockets and for general PCB prototyping. The connector is mounted on to the printed circuit board, using the contact as an electrical connection. The different material type will vary with conductivity and quality of connection.
