This black, hook and loop fastening system, with pressure sensitive rubber adhesive, features tiny stiff hooks which mesh with pliable loops.

Strength

The design of the 3M™ SJ352D hook and loop tape is made of woven hooks coupled with thousands of woven loops, providing openings and closings for the hooks. The hook and loop fasteners consist of two strips of nylon, that come together to form a quick fastening attachment.

The SJ352D hook and loop tape contains 46 small, stiff hook per cm² (300 per square inch). When the two strips are pressed together the tape is only 4.4 mm thick. When joined, they offer great flexibility and quicker product assembly. The tiny hooks are pushed into number of the loops, interlocking with the opposing heads. This system can be easily pulled apart by hand to disengage.

No drilling, screwing, tightening, or complex installation

The SJ352D tape uses a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive that bonds well to a variety of materials, including some plastics, metal, glass, and painted surfaces with very little preparation needed. The quick adhesion ensures easy installation without the use of a mechanical attachment process.

The 3M SJ352D tape features a pressure sensitive acrylic nylon tape protected by a removable liner. This ensures the construction allows for better contact with surfaces having a slight texture or surface irregularities.

Versatile, durable and invisible

There's no limit to the number of uses for this tape, with the hooks, loops, and a clear film backing. Temperatures up to 50 °C (70 °C short term) will have minimal impact on the performance of this hook and loop tape.

How is hook and loop attached to a product?

There are a number of ways to attach hook and loop to a product. Having a fabric backed hook and loop, it can be sewn into textiles and fabrics. It can be glued to a surface using pressure sensitive adhesives or even applied using a heat activated adhesive.

Does water affect the performance of hook and loop tape?

Hook and Loop tape will not degrade in water and water doesn't affect the holding strength of the tape.
