RS PRO Air Screwdriver

From the trusted RS PRO brand, this air-powered screwdriver is ideal for general purpose applications in workshops and bodyshops. The aluminium tool has a BSP connection to attach to hoses and pneumatic systems. It also has a spindle to equip 1/2 inch screwdriver bits.

Operated by an easy-press trigger mechanism, and with clockwise and anti-clockwise directions, the reversible air tool can be used to screw and unscrew in high and low torque applications.

Applications

Using compressed air to drive tools has many advantages. As this air drill is driven by air pressure it can provide all the torque of a power screwdriver, but as it doesn't require as many electric or battery components it is cheaper, more robust and easier to maintain. Also, as it is not powered by electricity, it is arguably safer. It's only disadvantage is that it needs to be attached to a pneumatic system, and is so less portable than, for example, a battery-powered electric screwdriver.
